JEPP Application Overview

Important: All sections of the application form and application costing worksheet must be completed, and the supporting documents attached with your submission.

Applications with missing information cannot be accepted. Please ensure your application is complete to avoid delays and possible missed deadlines.

Information Templates are mandatory for all 2012/13 Training and Education proposals. The Federal Training and Education Template, as well as the Federal Information Note are attached to assist with the preparation and evaluation of Training and Education proposals. Proposals without the required federal information template will not be accepted.

  • Application Forms and Application Costing Worksheets are available below or from EMBC Regional Offices, EMBC Victoria.
  • Completed applications and supporting documentation are sent to the EMBC Regional offices and must be received at the EMBC Regional office on or before October 15, 2011
  • More than one application may be submitted
  • Multiple projects in different categories must be submitted as separate applications
  • Multiple projects in the same category that are independent and largely unrelated to each other (eg. could proceed should the other project not be approved) must be submitted under separate applications
  • Certain projects may have bilingual requirements and the cost of translation should be factored into the proposal
  • If your project is approved and a subsequent change is required, you must request an amendment via email to EMBC who will forward to Public Safety Canada (PSC) for review/approval. Upon receipt from PSC, EMBC will provide a written response to your project manager. (eg. an item is required that is integral to your project, but was not originally approved, or a different training course is more suitable).

When your application is complete, please submit the following to your EMBC Regional office:

  • Application Form signed and dated by the appropriate staff
  • Application Costing Worksheet with individual items on a separate line
  • Supporting Documents - refer to page two of the application form
  • Consultant or contractor invoices - refer to the Consultant and Contractor Checklist [pdf]
  • Federal Training and Education Template completed for Training and Education proposals
  • Capped projects - generator or vehicles. For information on how to complete application costing worksheet, refer to the federal guidelines section 3.3.1
  • USAR Questionnaire completed for USAR proposals
