General Information
Mount St Helens
The Province is receiving regular updates on Mount St. Helens and continues to monitor current activities for any possible impacts to B.C. Following eruptions, scientists are expecting releases of steam and the impacts from ash fall to continue to be localized to the area around the mountain. At this time, the threat is low to B.C. communities. The Provincial Emergency Program, through its partner agencies, continues to monitor volcanic activity and weather patterns in and around southern Washington State.
